Erickson, Keibler, and Kohagen Win Events at Divisional Championships

 

Nickolas Erickson, 18, won the 200 yard individual medley at the Divisional Championships held at Kamiak Pool December 5-6. Erickson recorded a time of 2:12.69 which qualifies him for the Washington State Senior Championships later this month. Erickson improved 2.48 seconds for the meet.

 

            Colton Keibler, 16, placed first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.86. Keibler also placed second in the 50 yard freestyle at 25.60 and 100 yard freestyle at 55.74. Keibler also placed fifth in the 200 yard individual medley (2:30.50) and eighth in the 100 yard butterfly at 1:14.19. Keibler improved a total of 2.85 seconds for the meet.

 

            Hannah Kohagen, 17, won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:08.20. Kohagen placed fourth in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:13.91. Kohagen improved a total of 2.69 seconds for the meet.

 

            Chris Leigh,15, placed third in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:07.09, fourth in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:37.56, and seventh in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:34.40. Leigh improved a total of 20.65 seconds for the meet.

 

Nate Hopkins, 14, placed 11th in the 200 yard freestyle with a personal best time of 2:44.83 seconds, eighth in the 100 yard backstroke at 1:28.32, and tenth in the 100 yard butterfly at 1:25.37. Hopkins also recorded personal best times in the 50 yard freestyle (35.25) and 100 yard freestyle (1:19.78). Hopkins improved 42.69 seconds for the meet.

 

            Makayla Jones (14), palced 11th in the 100 yard butterfly (1:41.39), and 200 yard breaststroke (3:38.16). Jones also recorded personal best in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:38.77) and 200 yard individual medley (3:29.13). Jones improved a total of 6.10 seconds for the meet,
