Henry Limm out swam all the 12 year old
boys at the Grand Pentathlon meet held on December 6 at Kamiak
Pool. Limm had the least accumulated time with a total of 3:54.26
seconds. Limm placed first in the 50 yard butterfly (37.45) and 100
yard individual medley at 100 yard individual medley (1:21.88).
Limm also placed second in the 50 yard freestyle (31.50) and 50
yard backstroke (39.82). Limm placed third in the 50 yard
breaststroke (43.61). Limm improved 8.21 seconds for the
meet.
Judy
Chin, who swam in first short
course yard meet, placed third in the Pentathlon event for 12 year
old girls with a total of 3:43.73 seconds. Chin placed second in
the 50 yard breaststroke (38.72) which is a Pacific Northwest
Swimming Championship time. The remainders of Chin’s events
were GOLD standard times. Chin placed third in the 50 yard
butterfly (36.71) and 100 yard individual medley (1:18.92). Chin
also placed fourth in the 50 yard backstroke (37.65) and sixth in
the 50 yard freestyle (31.73).
Allison
Steward placed fifth in the
Pentathlon for 12 year old girls with a total of 3:54.29 seconds.
Steward placed second in the 50 yard freestyle (29,89). Steward
placed fifth in the 50 yard backstroke (37,68) and 100 yard
individual medley (1:22.42) and sixth in the 50 yard butterfly
(37.69). Steward had a best time in the 50 yard breaststroke
(46.61). Steward improved 6.68 seconds for the
meet.
Katey
Murphy, 12, improved her time in
the 50 yard breaststroke (44.09) and 50 yard backstroke (41.95).
Murphy improved 4.55 seconds for the
meet.
Savanna Symer
(11) recorded
best time in the 50 yard freestyle (46.01), 50 yard backstroke
(49.94), 50 yard butterfly (1:03.65), and 100 yard individual
medley (2:04.35). Smyer improved 1.71 seconds for the
meet.
Evan Fitzpatrick,
(11), recorded best times in the
50 yard freestyle (41.96), 50 yard backstroke (45.67), and 50 yard
butterfly (56.67). Fitzpatrick improved 13.54 seconds for the
meet.
Joon
Lee, (11), recorded best time in the 50 yard freestyle
(38.84), 50 yard backstroke (52.00), 50 yard butterfly (45.79), and
100 yard individual medley (1:45.26). Joon improved 12.42 seconds
for the meet.
